SCHF Announces Decal Design Contest to Support Wildlife Habitat Conservation
Pierre, SD – The Second Century Habitat Fund is calling on artists to showcase their creative talents and contribute to a cause that benefits wildlife conservation. The nonprofit organization has launched a Decal Design Contest, inviting artists to submit their designs for a chance to win an exclusive invitation to the Second Century Habitat Fund Pheasant Hunt and have their artwork featured on vehicle decals for donors supporting habitat restoration efforts.
The winning design will be used on vehicle decals given to generous supporters of the Second Century Habitat Fund throughout 2025. These decals will serve as a symbol of their commitment to the preservation and restoration of critical wildlife habitats in South Dakota. The original art piece will be auctioned off, with all proceeds from the auction directly benefiting SCHF's conservation projects aimed at improving habitat for pheasants and other wildlife species that call South Dakota home.
“We are excited to involve the creative community in raising awareness for wildlife conservation,” said Adam Bender, SCHF President. “This contest not only gives artists a chance to showcase their work, but also allows them to play an important role in protecting South Dakota’s natural landscapes for future generations.”
How to Enter
Artists can submit their decal design digitally, with a resolution of at least 300 px. There is no monetary compensation for entering or winning the contest, but the winner will receive significant recognition on supporters' vehicle windows, as well as promotion across the Second Century Habitat Fund’s social media channels. More importantly, they will have the opportunity to make a lasting impact on the future of wildlife conservation in South Dakota.
The winner will also receive an invitation to the Second Century Habitat Fund Pheasant Hunt, a premier event that brings together conservationists, community leaders, and outdoor enthusiasts to support wildlife habitat programs.
“The art community plays an integral role in raising awareness about the importance of conservation,” Bender continued. “This contest provides artists with the opportunity to combine their passion for art with a meaningful cause that directly impacts South Dakota’s wildlife.”
Deadline to Enter
Artists have until December 20, 2024, to submit their designs. The winning design will be selected based on creativity and alignment with the mission of the Second Century Habitat Fund to restore and protect wildlife habitats in South Dakota.
